NEW GenAI Teaching Tools

Generative AI tools are now available on MASSOLIT! We’ve put together four tools to help save you time and expand your use of MASSOLIT videos, which are available on all Arts, Humanities and Social Science courses. 

What are the four tools?

1. Lecture Summaries: Generate concise summaries of lectures in two formats:
   • Standard English for detailed insights
   • Basic English for simplified explanations
2. Vocabulary Lists: Extract key terms and concepts from each lecture, along with definitions, to help students build their subject-specific vocabulary.
3. Multiple Choice Quizzes: Quickly create quizzes based on the content of the lecture to test comprehension and knowledge retention.
4. Discussion Questions: Generate thought-provoking questions to spark classroom discussions or use as the foundation for larger assignments.

These tools generate their content directly from course transcripts available on MASSOLIT, so you can be sure the information being delivered is correct. 

How to access the AI tools:

Before using the steps below, ensure that your login is assigned either the Teacher or School Admin user role. When logged in, you will see your user role tier underneath your name when you return to the user dashboard.

1. Navigate to a MASSOLIT video lecture.
2. Look for the sparkle icon ✨ located underneath the video player on the right-hand side.
3. Click this button to unlock the AI-powered features and start generating summaries, quizzes, vocabulary lists, and discussion questions (almost) instantly.

These new tools are designed to save time and enrich your teaching and learning experience. Whether you’re preparing for a lesson, looking for ways to engage your students, or need some quick homework ideas, these tools have got you covered.
