MASSOLIT Subscription Update
From 1st January 2026, MASSOLIT will be changing the way you access content.
At the moment, schools can pick and choose which of our 17 subjects they want to subscribe to, with a flat price per subject.
From next year, we’ll be moving to an all-inclusive per-pupil pricing model. That means all subscribers will have access to all subjects, with pricing based on the number of pupils in KS4 and KS5.
What's included with all-inclusive?
- On-demand access to over 10,000 lectures across 17 subjects, plus new lectures as and when they’re added
- 25,000+ multiple choice quiz questions written by subject experts
- SSO and MIS integration
- Class and homework assignment tools
- Detailed usage analytics for admin users
- New GenAI toolset (up to 1,000 prompts included)
A dedicated onboarding specialist will assist you with setting up single sign-on (or generating user logins) and provide training sessions for your teaching staff.
Pricing is based on the total number of students in KS4 and KS5 (year 10-13 / grade 9-12). You can request a quote for your institution here or get in touch if you have any questions.
For existing subscribers:
If your school currently subscribes to MASSOLIT on a per-subject basis, you won't have to make any changes to your subscription until 2026. If your subscription is due to rollover 1st Sept 2025, for example, you'll be able to continue with subject-based pricing for another twelve months.
The following year, however – i.e. in 2026 – you'll be moved over to the new pricing model.
We will have a range of flexible pricing options to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Why the change?
We are moving to an all-inclusive model to better reflect how schools are actually funded – i.e. on a per-pupil basis. At the moment, a school with 200 pupils pays the same as a school with 2,000. With all-inclusive, schools with fewer pupils (and therefore with less funding) will pay less than schools with more pupils.
Another reason we are making the shift is to reduce complexity in account management. When MASSOLIT was first made available to schools, we had just four subject collections. We've now got seventeen – and by the end of the year we'll have twenty – and it's no longer viable for us to handle accounts that are mixing and matching between so many different options. Making things simple here will free us up to work on the things that really matter.
Finally – and most importantly – we have observed a remarkable transformation in how schools (and students!) engage with MASSOLIT when it is available to them in full. With over 125 schools now signed up to all-inclusive, the impact has been unmistakable: a surge in usage, both during and beyond school hours.
